At The Forum we are diverting the subterranean course of the River Twyer running through the site. The new route is being excavated by archaeologists. The ground has a rich medieval history and was last year identified as the location of the lost Whitefriars monastery dissolved by Henry VIII in the 1500’s.

In June this year Reef completed on the purchase of Boswells Department Store in Oxford City Centre as part of a joint venture with La Salle Investment Management and Oxford City Council. Reef have significant experience within the City having completed a joint venture with the Council and British Airways Pension Fund on the redevelopment of 4/5 Queen Street and St Aldates in 2018.

This week Reef Group joined Gravesham Borough Council for the ground-breaking ceremony of The Charter; a mixed use development providing 242 new homes, co-working space, leisure amenity and public realm in the centre of Gravesend, overlooking the Thames.

Despite the difficulties faced by the hotel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, Reef Group have continued to develop and deliver hotel schemes including a 101 bed boutique hotel in Oxford (on site with completion in March 2023), a 139 bed hotel in St Albans (completed May 2021) and Wimbledon (completion May 2022).

Reef’s redevelopment of the vacant BHS building in the heart of St Albans City completed in May this year. The demolition and redevelopment of a disused building – which had sat vacant on the high street for over three years – has assisted greatly in driving footfall and activity at the northern end of St Peters Street despite these uncertain times.

Reef have commenced onsite with The Forum, a 600,000 sq ft City Centre Campus at the heart of Gloucester.

Construction has commenced onsite at Tribeca, a 1m sq ft Life Science campus in St Pancras. Situated on the Regent’s Canal, Tribeca will deliver a new state of the art Life Science cluster of laboratories and workspace along with complimentary restaurants and retail, united by new public realm and residential.
