UBS Asset Management and Reef have acquired 33 acres of land from GSK to create an estimated 1.4 million sq ft of laboratory and office facilities, providing space for up to 5,000 “highly skilled” new jobs.

Reef group are very proud that our landmark digital campus The Forum, which sits at the gateway to Gloucester City features prominently in a brochure created by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and GFirst LEP which will be used to showcase Gloucestershire as a world-leading cyber cluster.

The publication of the HPO brochure, which highlights The Forum as part of the region’s asset base, will serve to catapult Gloucestershire onto an international stage. It will be used by Department for International Trade teams, located in British Embassies and consulates across the world, in persuading overseas cyber firms to choose the county as they expand their international activities. This can only help to further establish the cyber security cluster in Gloucestershire of which The Forum is firmly a part.

2021 marks 20 years since Reef Group was established. At The Forum we are diverting the subterranean course of the River Twyer running through the site. The new route is being excavated by archaeologists. The ground has a rich medieval history and was last year identified as the location of the lost Whitefriars monastery dissolved by Henry VIII in the 1500’s.

In June this year Reef completed on the purchase of Boswells Department Store in Oxford City Centre as part of a joint venture with La Salle Investment Management and Oxford City Council. Reef have significant experience within the City having completed a joint venture with the Council and British Airways Pension Fund on the redevelopment of 4/5 Queen Street and St Aldates in 2018.

This week Reef Group joined Gravesham Borough Council for the ground-breaking ceremony of The Charter; a mixed use development providing 242 new homes, co-working space, leisure amenity and public realm in the centre of Gravesend, overlooking the Thames.
